The Bordeaux Family
| The Bordeaux family comes from Simons family loft of Holland. They developed
this family specifically for the Bordeaux yearling race which is roughly
520 miles, and it started with Janssens from the Merckx lines of the Janssen
brothers crossed on Van Wanroy Jan Aardens. This cross was very good for
Simons family and they won 1st International Bordeaux in 1984 and they
won 1st Provincial by 30 minutes. The family continues to give great success
and in 1994 Simons family loft wins International Bordeaux again with
"De Bordeaux". His nestmate brother "Super Crack"
came to CBS. Super Crack bred "440" (03-CBS-440) winner of 1st
Runner Up Au Hall of fame. "440" was our first bird twice on
two day races. He was 31st vs 951, from 425 miles and came home the next
morning. I
In the 2004 Bordeaux race Simons puts 4 pigeons in the top ten vs 5,279. He puts 12 pigeons in the top 45. These results were astounding. CBS was able to purchase all 12 of these birds and some of thier parents. In the first year at CBS they bred Equal 1st Vegas Classic |
